Harry Potter Adventures In London

To say I am a Harry Potter fan is a bit of an understatement. My Harry Potter friends and I had dreamed of going to London to see all the Harry Potter sites. Time to make the dream a reality. Once the Cursed Child tickets were released, it was set and we planned the dates around the tickets.

Cursed Child!

Cursed Child

This play was so magical, words can’t even explain it.  I have heard some negative reviews about the book but this was definitely meant to be seen as a play not read. I went to the play first before reading it and loved it. If you get the opportunity to see the Cursed Child, it is worth every penny.

Warner Brothers Studio Tour – Special Breakfast at Hogwarts Event

Warner Brothers Studio Tour mimosa at Hogwarts

We got lucky when we found out there was a specially ticketed event happening on the week we would be in London. The event, Breakfast at Hogwarts, where you can eat breakfast hors d’oeuvres and sip mimosas, or tea if you prefer, around the model of the Hogwarts castle used in the films. We were definitely feeling fancy that day.

After that, they take you into the Great Hall for a professional picture with the tables decked out for breakfast just like the movies. You can then enjoy the rest of the studio tour at your leisure. The event also included a Butterbeer in a souvenir glass,  a paperback souvenir guide and a printed copy of your great hall photo.

Platform 9 3/4

Ugh, this was so crowded. There was a huge line to get your photo taken at Platform 9 3/4. We didn’t bother waiting because we had just taken pictures at the carts at the studio tour. I heard you can go early or late to get a picture without a line. Even the shop was packed it was hard to move around or look at stuff comfortably.

House of MinaLima

MinaLima are the graphic designers from the Harry Potter films and they opened this store within walking distance from the theater where Cursed Child is playing. It is so beautiful inside and they have lots of great merchandise you can buy. Mira & Eduardo are so nice. We have met them a couple times at the Celebration of Harry Potter, which is held at Universal. If you are lucky and they are in the store you may be able to get them to sign what you purchased.

I enjoyed every minute of this amazing trip with my friends.  Accio our next adventure!
